I'm a Massachusetts native and Boston based graphic designer pursuing a BFA at Suffolk University.
I am fortunate enough to be at the neck of the family funnel for artistic talent: getting the creative genes from my grandfathers, grandmother, and great grandmother. Growing up, I was self taught in painting and sculpture while doing local art shows from age ten.
Art gave me a lot of happiness. I enjoyed it, and I was good at it– I just did not know what direction to take it in. While I was trying to become a photography student, I met Professor Randal Thurston, who told me I would be a better graphic designer. No one else had ever told me that. I did some research into what graphic designers do, and realized that was where I needed to be.
Although I am a graphic designer, I still find value and refuge practicing fine arts.
